Philly training program seeks to increase city’s supply of affordable housing

We are so excited about this national coverage of our Jumpstart program which also highlights one of our Jumpstart graduates and borrowers, Kingzakariyah Martin. WHYY's Aaron Moselle also interviewed Jumpstart Germantown's President, Ken Weinstein, and Faculty Director of the Housing Initiative at Penn, Vincent Reina, for the piece.

We've already received calls from folks as far as Maine and North Carolina interested in the Jumpstart model. To date there are 18 Jumpstart programs nationwide, and with this NPR coverage we hope to see another 18 programs start!

“People need housing. They need adequate housing. If I can mitigate that starting with myself and my family and then others in my community by providing affordable housing, making sure folks are housed in whatever shape, way or form, I think that’s what drives me is to keep people in their homes.”
