The Jewish Community Housing Corporation of Metropolitan New Jersey presents: | | |
Dear Friends of JCHC,
Summer is in full swing at the Jewish Community Housing Corporation, and July has been packed with joy, celebration, and connection!
Happy 4th of July from all of us at JCHC! We’re grateful to celebrate the spirit of community, independence, and togetherness with our residents and their families.
We kicked things off with the launch of our Rhythm and Roses Evening Concert Series with “We Are the Fireworks”—a fun-filled night of dancing and live entertainment. Residents also enjoyed
our Western-themed Family BBQ, complete with a country singer and line dancing from Arthur Murray Dance Studio, as well as shared traditions in Cooking Club while preparing Ukrainian Potato Salad – Olivye.
We’re also welcoming new faces this summer through our respite care program—a perfect option for caregivers needing a break.
And while we’re not hosting our annual in-person Gala this year, we’re already planning something special: Celebrating 25 wonderful years at the Lester Senior Housing Community at the JCHC’s next in-person Annual Gala in May 2026! Until then, you can still make an impact by supporting our 2025 Un-Gala Campaign and helping us continue to enrich the lives of our residents year-round.
Thank you for being a part of the JCHC community!
Warmly,

| | 🤠🍔 Lester Family BBQ – Western Style! 🌞🎶 | | We had a rootin'-tootin' good time at our annual Lester Family BBQ, where this year’s Western theme brought out all the hats and country spirit! The weather was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the entertainment was top-notch. Guests enjoyed live music from a talented country singer and line dancing fun led by the amazing instructors from Arthur Murray Dance Studio. | | Cooking Club: Ukrainian Potato Salad – Olivye! | | |
Our Lester residents rolled up their sleeves in this week’s Cooking Club, preparing a delicious traditional dish — Ukrainian Potato Salad, also known as Olivye!

While chopping, mixing, and tasting, they shared cherished family recipes, stories from home, and the importance of preserving cultural traditions through food. It was more than just cooking — it was a celebration of heritage, connection, and keeping memories alive, one dish at a time.
| | Rhythm and Roses Evening Concert | | We kicked off our Lester Rhythm and Roses Evening Concert Series last night with a bang — our first event, “We Are the Fireworks,” lit up the night with music, joy, and community spirit! Residents and family members danced the night away to incredible live entertainment, surrounded by good vibes and even better company. What a beautiful way to start the summer! Stay tuned for more unforgettable evenings ahead. | | |
We’re incredibly grateful for your continued support of the Jewish Community Housing Corporation (JCHC) and the more than 500 seniors who call our communities across Greater MetroWest, NJ home.
While we won’t be hosting our traditional Annual Gala this year, the need for your generosity remains just as important. That’s why we’re proud to introduce the 2025 JCHC “Un-Gala” — a non-event with a real impact.
Instead of gathering in person, your support will directly fund the programs and services that enhance daily life for our residents — including nutritious meals, housekeeping, religious services, wellness classes, and so much more.
As a thank you, generous donors will be recognized in our online donor journal, in the New Jersey Jewish News, and on signage throughout all four JCHC communities.
Even without the gala, your gift makes a meaningful difference — and we thank you for being part of the JCHC family.
Join us in making a difference — without needing to dress up or leave home.
