Incoming Board and Advisory Committee

Executive Committee

The incoming executive committee remains unchanged from last year with all members continuing in their same roles. Effective July 1, 2025 Pam Fuehrer entered her second year of her two-year term as Chair of the Board of Trustees, having been renominated for a second three-year term on the board. Susan Myers is continuing in her fourth year as Vice Chair, and Jordan Copeland is continuing in his second year as Vice Chair. Janet Korins continues in her fourth year as Secretary and was renominated for a final two-year term on the board. Dana Matsushita is serving her second year as Finance Chair.

Newly Elected Members of the Board of Trustees

Scarsdale Adult School welcomes Dona Brucker, Leila Maude, and Deb Pekarek to the board of trustees for their first three-year terms. Both Brucker and Pekarek had been serving on the Advisory Committee this past year and Maude has ample experience at Scarsdale Adult School as a participant in multiple walking tours and a variety of SAS arts & crafts, language, and cooking classes. Re-elected to the board are Beth Grafman, Margot Milberg, and Deborah Skolnick, who were all nominated for their second three-year terms, along with longstanding board member and former Vice Chair Joan Bowen for a final 2-year term.

Rolling off the board are Beth Ehrich Berkeley, Elyse Mall Klayman, and Jessica Chan, as well as immediate past chair Deb Morel. SAS appreciates their many contributions over the years and welcomes their ongoing engagement as students in the classroom.
