On Saturday, September 13th, 2025, the New York City District Council of Carpenters will host their annual family picnic and charity softball tournament at Cunningham Park (Fresh Meadows, Queens, NY, 11366) beginning at 9:00 AM. Additionally, the NYCDCC Benefit Funds will be holding a Benefits Fair for you and your family beginning at 10:00 AM. Please join us and your providers (Independence Administrators, Anthem BlueCross BlueShield [Dental], Express Scripts, Empower Retirement, GVS, CPS, Memorial Sloan Kettering, UnitedHealthcare, and the MEND Program) for important benefits information, giveaways, and more! Look for the providers’ tent and check it out!

The NYCDCC Benefit Funds has an important reminder for all of our members who are participants in the Annuity Fund: If you have an individual Annuity account through the Fund, but have not yet registered it with Empower, we strongly advise you to do so at your earliest convenience. Registering your account is an important step to help safeguard your account, in that it helps protect your savings from being accessed by anyone who is not you. Additionally, taking this step also unlocks powerful resources to assist you in managing your account and setting yourself up to pursue financial freedom once retired.

The NYCDCC Welfare Fund partners with Memorial Sloan Kettering to offer MSK Direct, a program that gives you guided access to expert cancer care. They provide resources and support throughout your care experience.
