Celebrate Independence Day
with the City of Fairborn!

Fairborn is ready to throw one of the biggest Independence Day celebrations in the Miami Valley and you’re invited! Join us for two full days of patriotic fun, live music, family activities, and fireworks. The festivities kick off with our 3rd of July Block Party on July 3 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. along Main Street. Enjoy delicious food vendors, family-friendly entertainment, and live performances by the Fairborn Civic Band, Denim Deluxe, and Stagger Lee. Then, on Thursday, July 4, start your day with the Fairborn's 4th of July Parade which begins at 10 a.m. After the parade, head over to Community Park starting at 4 p.m. for more food, fun, and music featuring Sweet Sister Mercy and Kuarantine. The celebration wraps up with a spectacular fireworks display around 10 p.m.

Fairborn Memorial Park Dedication
The City of Fairborn invites you to attend the dedication for Fairborn Memorial Park on Thursday, July 3 at 6 p.m. The event will take place at 30 W. Hebble Avenue and will serve as a meaningful tribute to those who have served, led, and contributed to our community’s legacy. The ceremony will feature the first official flag raising at the park. The dedication ceremony is scheduled to coincide with Fairborn’s annual 3rd of July Block Party making it an ideal opportunity to take part in an evening of community celebration and reflection.

Council Conversations
Mark your calendars for our upcoming Council Conversation events in July! Join us on Monday, July 15 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Fairborn Family Diner for a morning chat over coffee and breakfast. Then, meet us again on Tuesday, July 30 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Giovanni’s for a lunchtime conversation. These informal gatherings are a great opportunity to connect with your Fairborn City Council members, ask questions, share feedback, and learn more about what's happening in our community.

2025 Citizens Academy
Registration is now open for the City of Fairborn’s 2025 Citizens Academy. Held Wednesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. from September 3 to October 29, each session highlights a different city department through tours, demonstrations, and conversations with staff. The program is free, but space is limited. Don’t miss this chance to get involved and help shape Fairborn’s future!

Free-on-Friday Entertainment Series
There are still two more chances to enjoy Fairborn’s Free-on-Friday Entertainment Series this summer! Fairborn Farmers Market
Fairborn's Farmers Market is open every Wednesday until October 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside Main St. Commons, located at 103 W. Main St. The last Wednesday of each month will be the Night Market from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a food truck. Vendors sell a variety of items including fresh vegetables and fruits, flowers, herbs, baked goods, meat & poultry products, honey, preserves, agricultural based crafts and other homemade items.

Street Resurfacing Projects Begin This Month
As part of Fairborn’s annual street program, resurfacing work is expected to begin this month on five streets throughout the city. Each year, streets are selected for rehabilitation based on a variety of factors including pavement condition, maintenance history, traffic volume, available funding, and recommendations from the City’s pavement management system. “No Parking” signs will be posted in advance of construction on each street. The streets scheduled for resurfacing this summer include:

- Ironwood Drive (Harvard to Funderburg)
- Hamilton Drive (Funderburg to City Limit)
- Edna Avenue (City Limit to Dorothy)
- Lawndale Avenue (Centralia to Beaver Valley)
- Park Lane (N Grand Ave to N Central Ave)

Construction Begins on Broad Street Enhancement Phase 3
Phase three of the Broad Street Enhancement Project is officially underway this month. This phase spans from Central Avenue to Sandhill Road and includes a range of improvements including widening and resurfacing the roadway, realignment, installation of new curbs and gutters, ADA-compliant curb ramps, updated storm sewers, and new pavement striping.

Utility Markings Appear Ahead of Fiber Installation
You may notice markings in yards and along sidewalks as Altafiber (formerly Cincinnati Bell) and AT&T prepare for upcoming fiber optic cable installation. These temporary markings help identify underground utilities to ensure safe and accurate placement of new fiber lines. This work is part of ongoing efforts to expand high-speed internet access throughout the community.
