Connecting with one another really is the key to improving everyone's quality of life. In our July issue you'll read about how our state has rallied behind the tornado-ravaged town of Grinnell. We hope it inspires you to re-focus on the goodness of people, the power of relationships, and the effect of resilience.
Perhaps you have read this story before, but it bears repeating: Fred Rogers often told this story about when he was a boy and would see scary things on the news: "My mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.' To this day, especially in times of disaster, I remember my mother's words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers — so many caring people in this world."
We’re always listening… please let us know how we can support your efforts at school and beyond. Your feedback is so valuable!
