Georgetown College is proud to announce the results of the inaugural Honor the One Who Helped You Grow campaign. Thanks to the generosity of our alumni, the campaign raised $70,075 for the Georgetown Fund while celebrating the faculty and staff who have made a lasting impact on generations of Tigers. Dr. John Blackburn was recognized with the Greatest Impact award, receiving the highest total dollar amount in gifts made in his honor, while Dr. Margaret Greynolds '59 earned the Most Honored award, receiving the greatest number of individual gifts. In recognition of their extraordinary impact, both will be honored with campus tree dedications during Homecoming Weekend in October. Thank you to every alumnus who participated in making the inaugural campaign such a success. | | |
Georgetown College announced their first new graduate program outside the area of teacher education since the 1950s.
The college received permission from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to offer a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. The program is pending approval from the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education.
The program is set to enroll its first students in Fall 2026. The program is designed to build on Georgetown College’s programs in Teacher Education and Psychology.
| | Because of you, Georgetown students have the opportunity to pursue an education that changes lives. Thank you to every alumnus, parent and friend who supports The Georgetown Fund. Your generosity helps provide the scholarships that make a Georgetown education possible, and because most of our students receive some form of financial aid, your support has a direct and lasting impact. As we begin a new fiscal year, we invite you to continue investing in the next generation of Tigers. Whether you give today, later this year or through a recurring monthly gift, every contribution helps ensure Georgetown remains a place where students can learn, grow and thrive. Thank you for believing in our mission and in the students who carry it forward. | | | | |
You are invited to celebrate our newest Tigers on Saturday, Aug. 15 at 6:30 p.m.!
One of our GC traditions is to have our new students enter their GC experience by walking from Giddings Lawn, through Giddings Hall and out onto Jackson Street. As they come out of the building, they are welcomed by cheering students, staff, faculty and YOU. The bigger the crowd, the more exciting the experience!

Even at private colleges, many students struggle to afford groceries after covering tuition, housing, and books. Nearly 1 in 5 students at private four-year colleges experience food insecurity. The campus pantry helps ensure that no student has to choose between eating and learning.
The Alumni House will be accepting shelf-stable food and hygiene donations for our student pantry on campus. Donations can be dropped off at 401 East College street on the third Tuesday of EVERY month, between 9 AM-6 PM.
Because no student should have to study on an empty stomach — help our Tigers stay full and focused. Join your fellow alumni for Pack the Pantry Tuesdays.
