Ph. D. student Lori Jurist was among the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing scholars who attended the 47th annual International Association for Human Caring Conference in Bodø, Norway. Together with her co-authors, Gloria Littlemouse, Ph.D., of Vanderbilt University, and Sara Horton-Deutsch, Ph.D., of the University of San Francisco, their poster, “Self-Care Among Master of Nursing Students Using Watson’s Clinical Caritas Processes,” received the conference’s first place Best Poster Presentation Award.

Jurist also expressed her gratitude for the ongoing support from Dean Cameron Duncan and the college’s leadership team.
“Their investment in students and emerging scholars creates opportunities for meaningful learning, collaboration and professional growth,” noted Jurist. “Experiences like this demonstrate how Florida Atlantic University continues to prepare nurse scholars to contribute to the advancement of nursing knowledge and human caring both nationally and internationally.”
