Happy Silence Day to our

Worldwide Baba family!

As the 101^st anniversary of Meher Baba’s silence approaches, our wish for all is to experience His abiding love ever more deeply. 

And as we commemorate this most important day, we also note the “thunder of His silence” as the Heartland Center is literally booming with activity!

Through the help of many volunteers, the accident site is being transformed daily as we move closer to the goal before us. 

By spring of 2027 and with His grace, a Welcome Center and Memorial Garden will be ready for visitors to join in the 75^th anniversary of Baba’s 1952 accident. This special Sahavas will be held from May 21st - May 24th.

We hope you’ll mark your calendars and plan to join us at that time!

Introducing the Gazebo

The gazebo is now fully built! It sits in what will be the heart of the Memorial Garden which overlooks the spot where Baba and Mehera were thrown from the car on that fateful day in 1952. The depth of their sacrifice may not be fully understandable to us, but over the years, the power of the site has been experienced by many. The Heartland Center is committed to preserving this precious atmosphere, so infused with the Avatar’s love, and making it available to all who come to honor Him and His mandali.

The Heartland Memorial Welcome Center

 The Welcome Center floor plan is now being finalized along with the myriad choices and decisions needed before the start of construction. All details are being rigorously evaluated by a team that includes builders, architects and design savvy members of the Heartland Center. Soon the plans will be in the hands of Sunrise Sheds, the local builders who promise a finished product by April 2027. We expect it will be a beautiful building with expansive views of the pond and rolling hills. We envision a multi-purpose space for meditation, education, workshops and performances. Stay tuned - we'll keep you informed as the plans evolve!

Hospital Update

We're in the final stages of negotiations with the City of Prague, which owns the hospital where Baba and His mandali were treated and recuperated for twelve days. The agreement will permanently secure exclusive access to Baba's hospital room for the Heartland Center. It will also include the option to purchase the original hospital when available. What a true blessing!

An Unexpected Gift

Bulent Durmaz, a Baba lover and Turkish rug dealer, recently gave the Meher Heartland Memorial a stunningly beautiful carpet. It’s a Persian design, made in Turkey, and between 80 and 100 years old. As seen in the photo, it’s installed in the original garage which is serving as a temporary welcome center. Thank you, Baba! And thank you, Bulent!

On May 24th, Baba lovers from Pune and surrounding areas joined the 12th International Japa at Udtara, the site of Baba’s 1956 accident near Satara.

The 74th Anniversary of Baba's 1952 Accident Virtual Program and International Japa

More than 60 people joined us for our annual virtual anniversary program on May 24th which was titled "Baba Turns the Key Again!" The Heartland Center's Board President, Daniel Stone, gave an in-depth look at all of the exciting, and some unexpected, events of the past year. There was also a panel discussion with Baba lovers who’ve been helping to bring about this transformation, a video of the work done over the past year, and a musical performance by a new Baba voice from Oklahoma, Sharla Ember.

On the morning of the 24th, hundreds of Baba lovers in 13 countries around the world also participated in our 12th International Japa. His name resounded across the globe as voices were raised to honor His sacrifice for us all. We are grateful to all who have participated in remembrance of our Beloved.

Upcoming Ward Parks Workshop

Once again, Ward will share his expertise and gracious teaching with a course at the Heartland Center on Infinite Intelligence. It will held from October 4th - 10th and reservations for lodging at the Heartland Center and participation in the program can be made by emailing the Center at contact@ambheartlandcenter.org.
