Happy 4th of July and make it a safe one! I hope your summer is off to a great start and you’ve had a chance to get out and enjoy the warm weather, July is starting out as a scorcher as well. Lisle offers some great summer events to make it a fun summer.
I hope you can take advantage of some of these fun summer events. Be sure to check out the Lisle Area Chamber website for upcoming July ribbon cuttings, events and networking opportunities. As midsummer arrives, the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes community celebrations. On July 3rd, music and fireworks celebration for the 250th anniversary of the USA will be at Lisle Community Park. (check out the www.lisleparkdistrict.org for hours and festivities). Far from a sleepy summer lull, July highlights the Annual 4th of July Parade on Main Street, Lisle and the Ice Cream Social at The Museums at Lisle Station Park to bring families together and to bolster local small businesses. The Parade begins at 10:00am at Lisle Junior High School and Ends at Lisle Village Hall. Kids may decorate their bikes and participate in the bike line at 9:30-9:45am.
The Parade is hosted by the Lisle Park District, Village of Lisle, Lisle Police Department, Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District, Lisle Library District, and the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce. The Ice Cream Social follows the parade at 10:45am The Museums at Lisle Station Park, 921 School Street, Lisle. The Ice Cream Social is hosted by the Lisle Heritage Society with the Lisle Park District. Patriotic music will be performed by the Lisle Community Band. Ice cream will be provided by Culver's Downers Grove/Lisle while supplies last.
Thank you to State Representative Margaret DeLaRosa for visiting three Lisle Area Chamber member businesses last week. With State Rep. DeLaRosa, we visited Jennifer Rizzo Design Company, Past Presence Custom Framing, and Kaia Bowls Lisle.
Festivities drive foot traffic in Lisle and community entertainment. July kicks off with events that draw regional visitors directly into the commercial downtown area. Kiwanis hosts the Car Shows check their website for dates. Lisle Park District Summer Concert Series is an excellent way to spend an evening in the park. The Lisle Community Band meets to perform at the Lisle Community Bandshell. Check out their website for the dates. (www.lislecommunityband.org ).

HEIST IN DOWNTOWN LISLE
The Case of the Missing Manuscript
On June 4, 2026, a fun and exciting new event was held in Downtown Lisle. The Heist in Downtown Lisle, The Case of the Missing Manuscript was an immersive evening of intrigue and mystery. Guests visited participating Downtown Lisle businesses and became the detectives. In each business they learned clues from the suspects as to who could have stole the missing manuscript. The evening finished at Yerbabuena Mexican Restaurant, where the thief of the missing manuscript was revealed.

The Women in Business Conference offers powerful strategies and techniques to help you advance your career by engaging with the outstanding presenters. This year's theme was "Growth through Innovation". The Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce participated in the business expo portion of the event. Attendees were able to network and connect with each and grow strong connections.

AMBASSADOR PROFILE
Claudine Rummer
Claudine Rummer is the Office Manager at the Chamber. She began working at the Chamber in April 2015. While working with the Ambassador Committee, Claudine sees how the Ambassadors come together to support their fellow Chamber member businesses. Joining the Ambassador Committee is a great way to promote your own business while also helping the business community.
At the Chamber, Claudine handles the day to day office matters, as well as helps set up and manage the large and smaller events. She also manages the the marketing for the Chamber and the Chamber members. If you are interested in setting up any e-blasts or ads for the monthly newsletters, contact Claudine to discuss the steps.
