Welcome to our Chamber's monthly newsletter!

The Streator Chamber of Commerce created a monthly newsletter to keep our members in the know about community happenings. This newsletter will update members on upcoming events (both at the Chamber and in the community), Chamber benefits and provide insight to all sorts of things. We see it growing and fitting into what you want.

Upcoming Chamber events

7:30 a.m. Friday, July 10: Caffeinate & Connect at the Chamber office, 320 E. Main St. Sponsored by SOCU. Open to all members (and prospective members).

11:30 a.m. Friday, July 17: Annual Chamber golf outing, The Eastwood. Registration extended.

2 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 24; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 25: Christmas in July, participating Streator businesses. Retail event with prizes, vendors, visit from Santa.

4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 27: Curbside dining fundraiser, 1014 Johnson St. Tickets are $10. Buy from board/committee members or at the Chamber office.

7:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7: Caffeinate & Connect, hosted and sponsored by Thrivent-Rick Hanson, Merianne Morris, 207 E. Hickory St. Open to all members (and prospective members).

SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, Nov. 7: Casino Night, Oakley Avenue Klub.

Streator Young Professionals (YoPro) is back

Join the movement!

The Streator Young Professionals, known as YoPro, has returned. YoPro is geared to anyone 39 and younger who lives, works or attends school in the Streator area.

Learning and connecting is what this group is all about. They are flexible in what meetings and events can look like, and will tailor them to the needs of members.

The mission of the group is to create an environment that fosters mentorship, education, information sharing and networking for young professionals in the Streator area.

You do NOT have to be a member of the Chamber to join!

WANT TO HELP THE CHAMBER?

We are looking for Ambassadors and Fundraising committee members to assist with our initiatives. Ambassadors are the liaisons to the community. They attend ribbon cuttings, handle member of the month awards and promote the Chamber.

Fundraising organizes events that raise money for the Chamber to provide programming and other services.
