Share Your Knowledge with Future Veterinarians
The Veterinary Medical Alumni Association at Iowa State and the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine have put together a list of veterinarians who would be willing to volunteer to speak with students or student groups on a variety of topics. As members of the VMAA Board of Directors meet with students, the number one request is to interact with experienced veterinarians. Meetings could be in person or via telephone or video conferencing, and could consist of a one-on-one meeting, a presentation, a simple question and answer session or a networking meeting.

If you would be willing to volunteer (or would just like additional information), please send a brief email indicating interest to the VMAA. You will be sent a short survey with a list of student groups and areas of interest. Copies of this survey are also available at https://vetmed.iastate.edu/alumni-giving/alumni/association    Please contact Marta Burkgren, VMAA Association Director, with any questions or for more information ( vmaaisu@iastate.edu or 515-233-5183).

Pay it Forward by Helping Vet Students Earn Bovine Scholarships
Boehringer-Ingelheim Animal Health (BIAH) is helping to support future bovine practitioners in Iowa by offering the IVMA Future Service Scholarships to cattle veterinarians graduating from the Iowa State University (ISU) College of Veterinary Medicine.

If you use IVMA's Green and Gold Tag Preconditioning program you can help fund the scholarship. The amount of the scholarships will be determined by veterinarian and producer customers submitting box tops from Pyramid, Pyramid + Presponse SQ or Express FP product boxes.

Box tops totaling 100 doses earn a $5 donation toward the IVMA Future Service Scholarships. BIAH will award up to $15,000 depending on the number of box tops. Scholarships will be awarded in 2020 for graduating seniors at Iowa State who intend to primarily practice bovine veterinary medicine in Iowa.

Help us to maximize BIAH's contribution!
