State of Retail in Downtown Lafayette
Tonight at 7pm the Lafayette City Council and Planning Commission will hear from a panel of experts on the current state of retail in downtown Lafayette. The City Council asked for this workshop during its May 14th meeting in an effort to understand why there is an increase in the number of vacant storefronts and to determine if there are any measures that the City can implement to encourage retail growth. The panel will consist of:
- Basil Christopoulos, downtown property owner
- Steve Cortese, downtown property owner
- John Cumbelich, John Cumbelich & Associates
- Craig Semmelmeyer, Main Street Property Services, Inc.
We would like to invite you to this meeting to hear from the panel and provide any input that you may have on the subject. We would also like to thank you for the contributions that you make to our community and acknowledge everything you do to make Lafayette a great place to shop, work, and live!
