CEC GFO-25-902 - Cost-Share for Federal Geothermal Energy Funding Opportunities
The purpose of this solicitation is to provide CEC cost-share funding for applicants who apply for and receive an award under an eligible federal Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) and meet the requirements of this solicitation.
- Letter of intent due one week prior to the federal funding submission deadline
- Application due no later than 30 days after federal funding award

Sac Metro Air District School Bus Funding
- Program opened Monday, July 20th and closes Friday, August 21st
- $3M Available: EV School Bus funded at 100%, Ultra Low-NOx Propane Bus funded at 50%
- No restrictions on requested number of replacement projects
- Funding will be assigned using round robin style (one bus at a time, following the application date stamps of complete applications) until funds are exhausted
- All Sacramento County School Districts qualify for this funding

- SacEVA is taking a summer vacation in July, so SacEVA's next gathering is on September 9.
Next Meeting
- Many EV manufactures will soon be eligible for State rebates: $3,500 for new EVs, $1,750 for used EVs.
- PG&E offers two distinct EVSE rebates
- Standard Rebate: This pathway covers 50% of EVSE equipment expenses alone, with no household income constraints
- Rebate Plus: Up to 100% financial coverage for qualified hardware, panel upgrades, circuit extensions, and associated installation labor. Eligibility limited to households meeting specific income tiers

Underground Hydrogen Discoveries
Bore holes in Ontario, Canada, have identified underground deposits of hydrogen that are being naturally produced from certain rock formations. Labeled “White Hydrogen” these hydrogen wells are capable of producing hydrogen for decades.

Lithium Extraction Breakthrough
Researchers at Columbia Engineering have developed a lithium extraction technique that uses a solvent to extract lithium directly from salty underground brine deposits without using huge evaporation ponds that harm the environment and waste water.

CHP 2027 Model Year Police Vehicle Evaluation
