Open Door Sunday Worship
Regaining our Center Sermon Series
Sunday, July 26th, 10:00 AM
Romans 8:38-39
This week we celebrate the "boundless love" of God through Jesus Christ.
Open Door Churches
All are invited to join us via our Open Door Churches Youtube page . Share this invitation with your family, friends and neighbors. These online services are a wonderful opportunity to share the love of our faith community with everyone, near and far! See you online!
SUNDAY WORSHIP UPDATE

As COVID-19 infections are increasing, our churches are still closed and we don't have a definite date of when it will be safe to worship in-person.

We will therefore continue to worship together online on Sunday morning, 10:00 a.m. or whenever you are able to join us for the foreseeable future.
UPDATE ON COMMUNION SERVICES

The pastors received a couple questions recently regarding "when will communion be celebrated"?

We will hold communion on the first Sunday of every month beginning Sunday, August 2.

There may be times when an additional communion may be held and we will announce that ahead of time so you may be prepared.
Do your kids have questions they want to ask the pastors? For the next three weeks, we're inviting kids to send in videos of them asking the pastors a question. We'll show the videos over the next three weeks of worship during the children's time along with the pastors answering their questions. These questions can be about the pastors themselves, God, church - anything that is on the child's mind. Ask your child, "What are you wondering about?" Videos can be uploaded here.
Participate in a Sunday Worship Service
Would you be interested in participating in an upcoming Sunday service by reading a verse, playing music, or offering a prayer? We are looking for people throughout Open Door Churches to join in by recording a piece for our worship times together. Our worship coordinators can talk you through how to video yourself and upload it to our Dropbox folder. Simply   email Pastor Alyssa   and let her know you're interested.
Ask the Pastor
Do  you  have a question you want to ask the pastors ? We're starting a new series of having adults (or any age!) ask questions of the pastors. When we have several questions for the pastors to answer, we'll put together a special video with the pastors answering them all. These questions can be silly, serious, or things you are curious about. What do you want to ask the pastors?

We will have as many videos as it takes to answer your questions.  You can upload videos of you asking them here.

Christian Education is our invitation to understand God’s world and our experience in that world in deep and transformational ways. We will not be able to gather in person this summer, while our country and our communities engage in urgent conversations about racism, police brutality, power, government, creation care, and so much more. We want to provide opportunities for us as a faith community to learn, discuss, and inspire one another toward action for justice.

If you have any questions, contact  Heather Ingersoll .

We have several options for gathering online throughout the summer to do that:

Let’s Read: Open Door Churches Summer Book Study  (See above)

Prayers of the Heart – Sundays at 9 AM on Zoom
This group gathers to share a short reading, a time of meditation, and lectio divina.

Tuesday Evening Women’s Book Group- Tuesdays at 7 PM on Zoom
Join for a lively engaged discussion of a new book each month.
July book:  You’re a Miracle (and a Pain in the Ass)    by Mike McHargue.
