CALSTART’s Lion School Bus Update
CALSTART’s Electric School Bus Network (ESB) has published an update on their plans for Lion School Buses in the US. Important elements include:
- All current Lion purchase orders and warranties are voided due to Lion’s bankruptcy.
- Lion expects to relaunch service and support in California.
- To provide this support, Lion is actively working to reestablish service locations and develop service packages that can be supported by their reduced workforce and resources.

EPA Renewable Fuels Announcement June 13
- Sets strong growth targets for key renewable fuels that benefit American farmers while mitigating the impact on gasoline prices and ensuring the continued existence of liquid fuels.
- Puts the American economy first by reducing the value of renewable fuels and feedstocks from foreign countries.
- Eliminates one component of the electric vehicle (EV) mandate, by removing electricity as a qualifying renewable fuel under the RFS program (eRIN).

GEVO is using their North Dakota Class VI Caron Sequestration Well, able to permanently sequester one million metric tons of CO2 per year, as the source for their “Puro-earth” carbon credits.
