A Message from Pastor Carrie
What a great week we shared together at Rainforest Falls Vacation Bible School!
Over four fun-filled days, 73 children, youth, and adults filled the church and explored the nature of God through Bible stories, music, games, science, crafts, snacks, and lots of laughter.
Each day we discovered another wild and amazing truth about God. We learned that God is our Creator, God knows everything, God is our safe place, and God is forever. Through God's Word, our rainforest Bible Buddies, and caring relationships with one another, we were reminded that God created us with purpose, knows us completely, walks with us through every circumstance, and remains with us forever.
A big thank you to everyone who made Rainforest Falls such a success. To our planning team, station leaders, youth helpers, photographer (Joanna!), kitchen crew, decorators, and all who donated supplies, treats, and their time, thank you for sharing your gifts so generously. Thank you also to our wonderful children and families for bringing such excitement, curiosity, and joy to each day. It was a blessing to watch our church family grow in faith together.
One of the highlights of the week was our daily Rainforest Offering, which supported St. Paul Lutheran's monthly Mobile Food Truck Ministry serving neighbors in the Wyoming community. Together, our VBS families contributed $147.30 along with 154 pounds of non-perishable food. Thank you for helping us share Christ's love in such a tangible way with those experiencing food insecurity.

| | SUMMER OUTDOOR WORSHIP SCHEDULE | | |
Join us this summer for our alternating Indoor and Outdoor Worship Services!
Throughout the season, worship will be held outdoors every other week,
weather permitting, with indoor services on the alternating Sundays.
When worshiping outside, please bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating.
If rain is forecast, the service will simply move indoors.

including our annual Blessing of the Animals

Congregational Picnic & Potluck – Sunday, July 19.
Mark your calendars and plan to join us for our Congregational Picnic & Potluck immediately following our Outdoor Worship Service on Sunday, July 19! This will be an opportunity to enjoy food, fellowship, and fun as we gather together as a church family. Please consider bringing a dish to share, and don't come alone! Invite a friend, family member, neighbor, or coworker to worship with us and stay for the picnic. It's a great way to experience the warmth and hospitality of St. Paul Lutheran Church. We look forward to celebrating summer together and sharing Christ's love with joy!
| | FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR ALLAN DEWOLF | | |
We extend our sympathy to the family and friends of Allan DeWolf.
Allan's funeral service will be held here at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 11. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
A luncheon will be served in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
Please keep Allan's family in your prayers as they grieve and give thanks for the promise of the resurrection through Jesus Christ.

Our quilting and sewing group, the Humble Bees, meets on the second Monday of each month at 12:30 p.m. at church.
No experience is necessary, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to quilt or sew, share your skills, or simply enjoy time together in fellowship. Whether you’re an experienced quilter, a beginner, or just curious, you are invited to join the group. And bring a friend!

West of 55 Senior Group – Harmony In the Park. All are invited to join fellow St. Paul members and friends for two fun summer evenings at Harmony in the Park in Lindstrom. This is a no-cost, casual gathering for anyone who would like to meet up, enjoy great music, and sit together as a group. The concerts are held at the Lions Park Band Shell, next to City Hall, at 13292 Sylvan Avenue. Food vendors begin serving at 6:00 p.m., and the music starts at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a lawn chair for outdoor seating and look for the St. Paul Lutheran Church group. In case of inclement weather, the event will move indoors to the Community Center next door. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, July 22, featuring a Johnny Cash Tribute Band, and Wednesday, August 5, featuring a Buddy Holly and classic rock tribute band. No sign-up is necessary, just come, invite a friend, and enjoy an evening of music, fellowship, and summer fun!

Hospice Care: Comfort, Support, and Choice
Hospice care is special care for people who are near the end of life. It is often used when a serious illness can no longer be cured or when a person chooses comfort instead of more treatment. The goal is not to give up. The goal is to help the person feel as comfortable, calm, and supported as possible.
Hospice care focuses on quality of life. This means easing pain, helping with breathing problems, treating nausea, and managing other symptoms. It also means caring for the whole person. A hospice team can support emotional, social, and spiritual needs, not just medical needs.
A hospice team may include nurses, doctors, social workers, aides, chaplains, counselors, and trained volunteers. These team members work with the patient, family, and caregivers to make a care plan. The plan is based on the person’s wishes, values, and needs.
Most hospice care is given where the person lives. This may be at home, in a nursing home, in an assisted living facility, or sometimes in a hospice center or hospital. Hospice does not mean someone must leave home. In many cases, it helps people stay in a familiar place with the people and things they love.
Hospice also supports family members and caregivers. Caregivers may learn how to give medicine, help with daily care, and know what changes to expect. Some hospice programs also offer short-term respite care, which gives caregivers a break. After a death, many hospice programs offer grief support for loved ones.
Many people wait too long to ask about hospice. Hospice can be most helpful when it starts early enough for the patient and family to use its services. A good time to ask may be when treatments are no longer helping, when side effects are too hard, or when comfort has become the main goal.
Starting the conversation can feel hard. A simple question can help: “What care will help me live as well as possible now?” Patients and families can talk with a doctor, nurse, or social worker. They can ask what hospice includes, who will visit, what costs may be covered, and what choices the patient still has.
Choosing hospice is a personal decision. It does not mean there is no care left. It means the care changes direction. Hospice care offers comfort, dignity, and support during a difficult time. For many patients and families, it can bring peace, guidance, and more meaningful time together.
