Called to Serve
One of the greatest strengths of our Cathedral is the faithful men and women who generously give their time and talents to serve during our liturgical celebrations. Whether welcoming parishioners at the doors, assisting with Holy Communion, or serving at the altar during weekday Mass, these ministries help create a meaningful and prayerful experience for everyone who worships with us.
As our parish continues to grow, we are looking to welcome additional volunteers in several ministries.
Current Needs
Hospitality Ministers
Our Hospitality Ministers are often the first smiling face someone encounters at the Cathedral. They welcome parishioners and visitors, assist with seating and collections, and help create a warm and inviting atmosphere at every weekend Mass.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Those called to distribute Holy Communion receive Archdiocesan formation covering the theology of the Eucharist, liturgical ministry, and the practical aspects of serving. After completing the required formation, ministers receive additional Cathedral-specific training before serving.
Weekday Altar Servers
We are looking for one or two dependable individuals who are available to assist at weekday Masses. This ministry plays an important role in supporting our daily worship and is a wonderful opportunity to serve the Church in a meaningful way.
If you have ever considered becoming more involved in the life of the Cathedral, this may be the perfect opportunity. We would be honored to help you discern where your gifts can best serve our parish community.
"There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord."
