Last at Bat
Comes to Life!

If you have been keeping tabs on the website, you know that we are gearing up for our first Scripted workshop presentation of  Last at Bat  fea-turing over thirty of our SfDM participants.  They have all been hard at work attending rehearsals, studying lines, and getting to know their characters.

Several had been concerned about how they would do (being ballplayers, not actors), but in all cases, enthusiasm has more than made up for inexperience!  In short, they rock!  You will not want to miss the opportunity to see your 'teammates' in action next week!

Remember, if you participated in any of the tryouts, you are entitled to two (2) tickets at NO CHARGE!  Simply send your request with name of participant, date and where you tried out and your tickets will be held at the door.  See you there!

First Shot at the Script

Table reads took place Friday and Saturday June 24 and 25th and our Dress Rehearsal was last night, July 29th.  It was the first time the player/actors were able to see the venue and take the stage for what promises to be an exciting evening.

Participants from all three Ohio venues were selected to play various roles.  Do Not Worry if you were not chosen to be in this first go-round! We have not yet cast the film, and will still need lots of ballplayers and others.  Mark Donahue promised you would be at the top of the list for film roll callbacks, and that stands. You stepped up to tryout and we have your backs!

In addition to preparing for the August 5th program, we have scheduled another round of tryouts in Schenectady, NY.  Regional Manager, Jim Konstantakis (many of you will remember him from the Dayton tryouts in May) has arranged for us to assess what baseball talent the great state of New York has to offer on August 22, 2015, at Schenectady Central Park.  We are excited about traveling north and giving those fine folks a shot at becoming Dylan Michael.

Held on a single day, registration and baseball tryouts in the morning.  After a lunch break, slates and readings will be video taped for reference by the producers for consideration.  Pre-registration is required, and can be done here.

All necessary paperwork is also available online, and strongly suggested participants download and complete prior to Sign In on the 22nd.  A more detailed schedule of events will be posted online, FB and in the newsletter as we have them.

Lots of events planned--see you there!
