A Message from Pastor Dale
Dear Friends and Members of Saint Paul Lutheran,

I can't say this enough - I am grateful for our congregation! I am nearly six months into my service here as your pastor and every day and week I discover something new I am grateful for.

Today we conclude a week of Vacation Bible School. Fifty-two children, youth, and adults have been busy in our church this week, learning, singing, playing, and praying together. For all of this activity and excitement, I am again, grateful.

But a fun and exciting week-long VBS program doesn't just happen. Weeks, and even months, of preparation go into making it happen. Our volunteer VBS coordinator, Joanna Kroschel, has done a terrific job of coordinating this awesome opportunity for so many young people. I am grateful also, for Joanna, and all of the leaders and people she has reached out to for supplies, volunteering, and funds. It truly takes a village to raise and teach our children - and Joanna has rallied our village in a way that we can all be grateful for! Please express your gratitude to her and all the helpers when you get the opportunity.

I now look even more forward to this Fall and all of the learning opportunities (for all ages) that will begin again on Rally Sunday, September 12. Stay tuned for more information on all of that!

This coming Sunday I will not be with you in worship. I have invited Pastor Steve Melander, part-time visitation pastor at Faith Lutheran in Forest Lake, to lead worship and preach in my absence. I know you'll give him a warm welcome. Remember, worship is scheduled to be outdoors this Sunday. Bring a lawn chair and/or a blanket to sit on.

While you're worshiping together here at home, my family and I will be enjoying a short camping trip on the North Shore before moving our daughter, Annica, to Virginia for her first year of college later this month.

I'll be back in the office on Monday morning. Again, I am grateful for you all.

See You In Church!

Pastor Dale

Support SPLC While Shopping!
Do you shop online at Amazon? Did you know you can support the ministries of St. Paul Lutheran by shopping at smile.amazon.com? AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know. Same products, same prices, same service, except it donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to our church! Why not try it? And, thank you!

A Weekly Food Donation Reminder
The Food Donation Grocery Cart is in the parking lot each Sunday ready to receive your non-perishable food truck donations which are distributed the third Saturday of each month. Also, a donated bag of groceries can go a long way at our local food shelf. By mixing and matching the items you choose, you can help a family eat balanced and nutritious meals. The next time you're at the grocery store fill a bag for our local food shelf and drop it off at church on Sunday. Thank you!

Cans For Christ!
You're great at sharing Christ's love for the sake of the world, now we need you to share your aluminum cans for Christ. You've likely noticed the drop off bin for aluminum cans just off the road in front of the church. Your donated cans become additional funds to help us meet our general operating expenses at the church. Tell your friends and neighbors to donate their cans for Christ, too!
PARISH NURSE'S CORNER
We are blessed to have knowledgeable
and caring nurses in our congregation!

The SPLC Nurses are working very hard at VBS this week!
We will have new information to share next week!

To speak to one of our parish nurses Joanna Kroschel or Jaime Fraley,
please contact the church office.
