July 31st Application Deadline for
Pennsylvania Senior Protection Act and Hazard Pay Grants
By the end of the week (July 31, 2020) providers must submit an application in order to be eligible to receive two important funding sources: Personal care and assisted living facilities Pennsylvania Senior Provider Protection Act funding and Hazard Pay Grants.
Nearly $500 million in Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding received by Pennsylvania has been dedicated to the Commonwealth’s 1,800 health care facilities as part of the Senior Protection Act. $50 million has been allocated to personal care homes (PCHs) and assisted living residences (ALRs). Unlike the majority of the $500 million, in order to be eligible for this funding, PCHs and ALRs must apply by July 31, 2020.
$50 million in CARES Act funding received by Pennsylvania has been allocated to Hazard Pay Grants for front-line workers in life-sustaining industries. Entities in several industries including health care and social assistance, ambulatory health care services, hospitals, nursing and residential care facilities, and more may be eligible.
