Holiday wedding for Batman & Catwoman, Wedding Cake at Noon and a Star Spangled Captain America debut, too! That's how you do the July 4th holiday!
Batman Issue #50 debuts
Wednesday July 4th

The honor of your presence is requested.

The wedding you never thought you'd see!
Join us at Flying Colors on July 4th as we celebrate this momentous occasion. Wedding cake will be served at noon.

About Batman #50:
The Batrimony is real as Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle are set to tie the knot in a can't-miss, extra-length milestone issue that will reshape Gotham City. All their friends (and a few enemies?) will be party to a comic book coupling for the ages.

Superstar writer Tom King officiates the sure-to-be-offbeat nuptials, joined by an all-star lineup of guest classic Bat-artists doffing their hats to the lucky couple in a series of pre-wedding flashback scenes sure to set the romantic mood.
Also debuting on July 4th and definitely one to read after the Batman #50 wedding issue!

About CATWOMAN #1:
The wedding night's barely over, but Catwoman's back on the streets, this time to expose a copycat who's pulling heists around Gotham City.

As Selina cracks the whip on her former criminal cohorts, she's attracting unwanted attention from one of Gotham's most dangerous groups. The mob? Nope. Try the GCPD.

And as if the Bat-Bride didn't have enough problems, don't miss the debut of an all-new villain determined to make trouble for all nine of Selina's lives. Don't miss the start of an all-new monthly series written and illustrated by Eisner Award-nominee Joƫlle Jones !
Captain America on July 4th July?
You bet!
About Captain America #1:
For over 70 years, he has stood in stalwart defense of our country and its people. But in the aftermath of Hydra's takeover of the nation, Captain America is a figure of controversy, carrying a tarnished shield...and a new enemy is rising!
Who are the Power Elite? And how do they intend to co-opt and corrupt the symbol that is Captain America?

To Do Wed Aug 1:
Seanan Mcguire's X-MEN Debut & Signing Event at Flying Colors!
Award winning author and Contra Costa County native Seanan Mcguire debuts her first X-Men story right here in Flying Colors!

Nearly 30 years ago, a young one named Seanan found Flying Colors after feeling not so welcome at other comic shops. She promised at 12 years old that when she wrote her first X-Men comic she would debut it here.

Now, an event nearly 30 years in the making is almost upon us. We invite everyone to join us for what will be a very special event at Flying Colors. This isn't just a comic book signing, it's a homecoming highlighting how booksellers, yes even comic booksellers, can encourage the next generation of writers and artists.

Find Seanan on Twitter... and click here to READ THE THREAD about how Seanan went above and beyond to honor the place Flying Colors has in her heart.
