Ministry Highlight
Youth Ministry
This month we are highlighting our youth ministry. This ministry is headed up by Pastor J Lloyd. This ministry serves middle school and high school-aged youth. They meet Sundays after worship, about 10:20 am, and on Wednesday evenings, 6:30 pm. This is a high-impact Youth Ministry that is geared towards sound biblical teaching and mentoring. The event coming up is our annual Falls Creek Camp. Registrations are open for this camp event. Also, if you have any questions, please reach out to Pastor J at j@communityofgrace.com.

Children's Ministry:
Every Sunday at 10:00 service, we will be in-person with Bible stories, and other fun activities. Don't miss this opportunity to get together with other kids and celebrate Jesus together! Sign up here or contact Nancy for more information.

Student Ministry:
Summer is finally here and I’m sure the last few weeks have been crazy at home trying to get school wrapped up. Just wanted to reach out to keep you in the loop as to what is going on at SOGCOG over the coming months. As always, the Parent Connect page is your best one-stop-shop for everything that is going and can be found here:

- Tuesday Night Chill
Starting 6/1, SOGCOG will be meeting at the church on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-830pm for a time to hang out and have some summer fun. My hope here is just to continue to build relationships and hold a regular event that could be used as an outreach opportunity. I hope you can encourage your students to invite their friends to this evening of fun and use it as a catalyst to introduce them to Jesus.

- Campfire Convos
Starting 7/6 we will add a fun twist to our Tuesday Night Chill by meeting on the church's front lawn from 8-10 pm to hang out around a campfire and share in some culturally relevant conversations, and of course, there will be S’mores!!! Bring your own S’more stick and camp chair and don’t miss this new summertime favorite running through the month of July. WE WILL NOT MEET on 7/20 because SOGCOG will be at Falls Creek……. and your student should be too!!!!!

Summer Camp is Coming. Falls Creek is a month and a half away!!! I can’t urge you enough to get your student and their friends to Falls Creek this year. Check out the Parent Connect page for pricing, scholarship, and fundraising opportunities and a link to a Google drive with tons of information about Falls Creek including the Student Registration form. Let's get your students to camp! There will be a MANDATORY parent & student camp meeting on 7/11 directly after church.

- Level Up
On 8/1, SOGCOG will welcome in our new 6th graders! I will be hosting a 6th grader breakfast before service so if you know anyone going into 6th grade, be sure to get them connected with me! High School Students will stay in the main service and we will bring over middle school students only for a time to get to know each other a little more as we welcome in our newcomers.

Prayer Starters
This week, pray
Monday: God, we pray for the protection of our Pastor and his family.
Tuesday: God, we pray You engage our hearts for Your truth against the tide of lies.
Wednesday: God help us in our relationships with each other.
Thursday: God, remind us in conflict to love one another.

Saturday: God, help us to be mindful to put You and Your ways first in our lives.
Sunday: God give us desperation for our "three" that do not know Jesus

Verse of the week: Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

We are in need of a Facility Manager. This is a part-time position that oversees the building/grounds of COG. Please reach out to Pastor Chris if interested.

Do you play an instrument? Our Worship team is looking for musicians. If you are interested, please reach out to Pastor David or see him in person after service.

What’s Happening

Friends and family are you tired of wearing your masks, your vaccinated, and ready to get back to a new normal? Don’t throw your cloth masks away. Our international medical team will require people in the villages to wear the masks when they visit. Many do not have masks. If you have any unwanted cloth facemasks, gattors, or unused surgical masks, please place in collection bin in foyer.

Fit2serve: Coming in August- Biggest Loser Challenge.

Men's Friday bible Study: June 25th, 6am at COG.
We will be studying minor prophets using the Navigators' Lifechange Bible Study. This study highlights several of the lesser-known Old Testament books with an emphasis on applying God's Word to your daily life. If interested contact Karl Been at 720-284-4750.

Ladies Fellowship: July 10th, 2021
The next Ladies Fellowship event is July 10th for an easy 3.1-mile walk around Quincy Reservoir. We will continue fellowship with iced coffee at Endless Grind Coffee shop at 17070 E Quincy Ave, Aurora, CO 80015.

Plan to meet at the Summit Elementary School 18201 E Quincy Ave, Aurora, CO 80015 which is across from Quincy Reservoir at 8:00 am.

Students of Grace: Falls Creek Camp, July 18th-24th, 2021
It's only SOGCOG's biggest event of the year!!!

Falls Creek is one of the most amazing Christian camps in America with literally thousands of middle school and high school students gathering for five days of spiritually-impacting teaching by Shane Pruitt, powerful worship led by Cody Dunbar, and amazing times of fellowship and bible teaching in our own cabin.

Over the course of the summer at Falls Creek, THOUSANDS of students place their faith in Jesus! This will be an unbelievable opportunity to have your student and their friends hear the Gospel! Check out this link for a little TEASER.

The cost for this life-changing week is $275 per participant BUT we have a few amazing ways that families can bring down this cost:

1. The first ten students who sign up and pay for camp AND have a non-SOGCOG student sign up and pay for camp will receive a $50 credit for their camp fees AND their friend's camp fees. (Pastor J. has the final say on whether or not the friend qualifies as a non-SOGCOG student.)

2. SOGCOG will be holding a couple of fundraising opportunities before camp that will benefit students that choose to participate in these events. Watch for fundraising details coming soon.

Is your student ready to sign up? Follow this LINK for more information about Falls Creek and the student registration form. Please turn in this form as well as payment to Pastor J. Make checks out to COG.

We are still in need of a small, enclosed trailer to borrow for the trip to Falls Creek from July 18-24. If you or someone you know might be interested in loaning a trailer for this week, please email Pastor J or call him at 303-819-9774.

Youth Camp Fundraiser: Envelopes on wall
You will see envelopes hanging on the wall. This is to help support our youth camp and offset some of those travel costs. Please consider supporting them!
