Thank You
I am so grateful for how many old and new customers/friends we have seen since reopening the shop in April. Thank you so much for your compliance with the mask requirement as you visit the shop. We have been working hard to begin to schedule in shop classes. You will be able to register online or in person. (more info below). Due to staffing issues, we will be closed for a few days longer than usual for our July 4th break. Thanks for your patience. Receiving new merchandise is beginning to be a bit more reliable in some areas. Our first Christmas (was due in April) has been shipped. Much more to come. The next Tula Pink group- Daydreamer- has been ordered and is expected to arrive in November. We are accepting preorders on the website. We have a new sew along planned with Linda Grigsby that will hopefully begin in August or Sept. We will be using Carrie Nelson's Summer Moon book and we are designing it to be similar to a block of the month program. This will include a zoom class every month. If you missed our previous sew alongs and mystery quilt from last year, those patterns are still free on the website.
July 4th Holiday Closure
The shop will be closed for the July 4th Holiday from
 June 27th through July 4th.
We will reopen on Monday 7/5 at 10:00AM

Please enjoy shopping online!
Porch Pickup and Shipping will not be available while the shop is closed but will resume on 7/5.
We are very happy to announce that Serendipity Quilt Shop has been chosen to be in the Fall 2021 Quilt Sampler Magazine, which comes out in August. You can preorder the magazine here! Barbara Hudson designed our quilt that will be featured and we will have kits available when the magazine arrives.

Learn the basics, including choosing your fabrics, rotary cutting, machine piecing and quilting. Go home with mostly finished projects after each class. Class uses Pat Sloan's "I Can't Believe I'm Quilting" book.
Hands hurt? Need to finish your quilt in a hurry? Or not happy with your hand binding? Learn three methods of binding: regular machine binding, flange binding, and hand binding.
Join Barbara in this fun class where you will make an adorable wonky Crazy Christmas Tree table runner (16" x 43"). This is a quick and easy project where you could use some of your holiday stash fabrics!
Manx Quilting - At first glance these blocks look like traditional log cabin quilt blocks. But their construction is different, in a foundation-pieced quilt-as-you-go method using strips of fabric.
The Manx method is inexpensive and portable.

This 2-part class uses the "New York Beauties & Flying Geese" Book by Carl Hentsch.  In this class Irene teaches the technique where complex piecing is made simple!  Expand your skill set and learn new tips and techniques for curved and foundation piecing. The design allows you to select whatever combination of blocks make you happy. Once you learn the technique, you can choose any quilt from the book or make one block for a pillow or 3 blocks for a table runner.

Prerequisite: Must have paper piecing experience or must have previously taken the Intro to Paper Piecing class.
