July 4th Town Services Schedule

Town of Herndon government offices and services will be impacted by the Independence Day holiday as follows:


Town Offices

Closed – Friday, July 4


Trash Collection

Trash will be collected as normal, no schedule change.


Herndon Centennial Golf Course

Open 6am – 4pm


Herndon Community Center

Closed


Special Event

The Parks & Recreation Department has hired a new part-time employee for the summer that you may recognize – Elden the Bear! You might spot him exploring one of our 11 parks, showing up at events, or even starring in social media challenges like “Where’s Elden?” With his friendly wave and adventurous spirit, Elden helps us connect with the community in a playful, meaningful way while promoting all of the fun Parks & Recreation has to offer.

 

From coloring pages to scavenger hunt and kid-friendly messages like “Elden Says,” this initiative is all about making recreation more engaging for families and creating paws-itviely memorable experiences. Make sure you’re following Herndon Parks & Recreation on Facebook, Instagram, and X to get involved in the fun this summer! 

Town Council Meeting Schedule for July

Mark your calendars! Council will be hard at work this month, and we want you to stay informed and involved.

July 8 - Work Session held in the Hoover Room at 765 Lynn Street.

July 15 - Regular Meeting held in Council Chambers at 765 Lynn Street


Agendas are available by 3pm the Friday prior to each meeting. Public comment may be given in-person at regular meetings, provided by sending an email (please include your street address), submitting this form, or by postal mail to the Town Clerk's Office. Comments must be received by 4 p.m. on the day of the meeting in order to be included as part of the meeting record.
