Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary time

PRAYER FOR OUR NATION

Almighty God, You have given us this good land for our heritage.
We humbly ask You that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of Your favor and glad to do Your will.
Bless our land with honorable endeavor, sound learning and pure manners.
Save us from violence, discord, and confusion, from pride and arrogance,
and from every evil way.
Defend our liberties and fashion into one united people the multitude brought here out of many nations and tongues.
Endow with the Spirit of wisdom those to whom in Your Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home,
and that through obedience to Your law we may show forth Your praise among the nations on earth.
In time of prosperity fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble do not allow our trust in You to fail. Amen.

FAITH FORMATION AND SPIRITUALITY
THANKS TO ROBERT AND KATIE!
St. Martin of Tours Parish family extends our heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to Robert Rodrigues as he is moving to his new position as Campus Minister and Religion Teacher at Sacred Heart/Our Lady of Grace Nativity middle School in San Jose. As Catechetical Director, he has done a great job in connecting with parents, children and adults of our parish in their faith formation and journey. We are grateful to him for his time and ministry with us. May God bless him in his future journey.
Katie M’Guinness has been our Youth Ministry Coordinator for the past one year. She coordinated Life Teen and Edge programs for teenagers and youth. Being a parishioner, she also helped with confirmation and youth ministry as a volunteer for many years. Katie will be moving to San Francisco and pursuing her career as a teacher. We thank her for her dedicated service and pray for God's blessings on her as she will pursue her teaching career.
We Welcome Lerma Simpson

I am excited to announce and welcome our new Catechetical Director Lerma Simpson. Lerma comes to us from St. Francis of Assisi Church in San Jose. She has ministered there for seven years as faith formation and First Eucharist coordinator. She comes with much experience. We are blessed to have her. Please join me in welcoming her as she will join our parish staff and community from the 6th of July.

Children's Sunday Activities

In the parish website, we have children's Sunday activities posted for each Sunday. Every Sunday, there will be new activities corresponding to the readings posted. They are not only fun for children, but also help for their spiritual growth.
