Upcoming Road Closures in Libertyville

There are several upcoming road closures that may impact your travel to our parish. Please see the information below about the closures and detour routes.


1. Oak Spring Road bridge over the Des Plaines River (July 8 until Summer of 2025)

2. North Milwaukee Avenue at the Libertyville Metra Crossing (July 8 until July 18)

3. Atkinson Road bridge over I94 (Week of June 24 through August)


Please plan for some extra travel time when you are heading our way during these next upcoming weeks! And keep all those impacted by these closures in your prayers for patience and grace!

Mothers with young children are invited to bring their kiddos to the various summer play groups hosted by the Mothers With Young Children Ministry (MYC). To learn more, please visit our website.

Stay and Chat - July 13

Please join the Women's Ministry after 8:30am Mass on the 2nd Saturday of each month (June, July and August) for friends, fellowship and faith sharing! Bring a friend and join us for a short time or stay for a while. We look forward to seeing everyone for a lovely morning!

Mass in the Park 2024 - August 17, 2024

Join us on Saturday, August 17 for the highly-anticipated St. Joe's annual tradition, Mass in the Park! All are welcome to join us for Mass outside in Sunrise Rotary Park at 5:00 PM, followed by free food, live music, and activities for all ages. To RSVP or sign up to volunteer, please click here.

Help Make Lunches for the Homeless

St. Joe's is committed to providing 50 lunches each Wednesday to be delivered a local hotel where PADS Lake County is providing housing this year. Families or groups are encouraged to sign up to make lunches, however, all adults working with youth must complete compliance requirements. Sign up to help!

Eucharistic Adoration

Join us for a blessed time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament during Eucharistic Adoration every Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. Experience God's presence as you make time for Him to be present with you.

Host a Backyard Mass

Sign up to host a Mass right in your backyard for your neighborhood! Gather your friends and neighbors for a unique experience that blends faith and community. All are welcome! Learn more!

Altar Server Picnic

Altar servers! We want to celebrate your ministry with you and your family! Please join us on July 14th from 12:30pm to 4pm at the Mundelein Seminary for a picnic, soccer, volleyball, and fishing. Please click here to learn more.

Tie-Dye & Ice Cream Bar at Youth Group

All incoming 7th graders, 8th graders, and high schoolers are invited to join St. Joe's Youth Group for tie-dye and an ice cream bar on July 21st at 6:00 PM in the Souled Out Teen Space. Bring your friends and items you want to tie-dye! Please register here.
