City Donates Bikes!

Belvidere City Council Approved Ordinance #631H on July 3, 2023 allowing the disposition of 78 bicycles. The Belvidere Police Department has stored 78 bicycles for numerous years, some since 2012. The Police Department was unable to locate owners when cross referencing them with lost or stolen police reports.

All 78 bicycles will be donated to the Belvidere-Boone County Food Pantry, who would make any repairs and donate the bicycles to families who may not be able to afford one.
