Lowell Scott Joins IHLA Board of Directors

Lowell Scott, Owner/Operator of the Holiday Inn Des Moines Airport/Conference Center, has joined the advocacy group’s Board of Directors. The award-winning hotelier served for more than two decades, as well as Board Chair, for the IHLA’s predecessor. He was also on the Board of Directors for the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA).  Scott was named the Iowa Lodging Association’s Hotelier of the Year in 1997.  In addition to a Management /Human Resources degree from Simpson College, he holds a law degree from Drake University. Scott also earned his CHA (Certified Hotel Administrator) the hotel industry’s most prestigious credentials, through the American Hotel & Lodging Association Educational Institute.
