Lenders should always be prudent in disbursing  loans to potential borrowers. In those instances where the value of the lender's collateral depreciates, the lender now has additional leverage against a Chapter 7 debtor to increase the probability that a debtor faced with hardship still repays the lender's loan.

FCC Update: New Rules for Businesses that Contact Customers via Phone and Text Message
In July, the FCC published its Telephone Consumer Protection Act Omnibus Declaratory Ruling. Business owners should beware. The new ruling favors consumers by placing substantial burdens on businesses that call or send text messages to consumers with electronic dialing equipment. For example...
