With the community's support and generosity, during the largest health crisis our world has ever known, we are investing $2.091 million in the year ahead. It was humbling to honor our Top Generous Workplaces and individuals who went above and beyond this past year at our recent Campaign Celebration event. Thank you to all the businesses, foundations, and individuals who gave of their time, talents and treasures. While the future looks bright for Sheboygan County, our Community Needs Snapshot Project shows how valuable our work is and how much your continued support will make a difference as we embark on our 2021-2022 Campaign. Collective impact and systemic change work remain at the heart of flourishing communities. As a philanthropic lead organization uniting businesses, donors, volunteers, and community agencies, we pledge to continue to work collaboratively to create deep and meaningful impact.

Lastly, we are so fortunate for the dedication, stewardship and service our of board of directors and '19/20 & '20/21 Campaign Co-Chairs! Their leadership and passion help drive our work and we send our deep gratitude to both exiting and incoming volunteers (listed in the bottom of our e-newsletter). Thank you!

2020-2021 End of Year | Campaign Wrap-up

Though a trying year, businesses and individuals continued to fundraise for UWSC annual campaign. Completing the 2020-2021 Campaign in June, over 139 businesses and foundations contributed, more than 3,800 employees gave through their employer’s workplace campaign, and 513 individuals made gifts through UWSC's annual appeal.

In a recent celebration, UWSC Board and staff recognized the Top Most Generous Workplaces, thanking the top corporate givers and top-performing workplace campaigns from United Way’s 2020-2021 Campaign at Christopher Farm & Gardens.

Additionally, UWSC gave three awards for Rising Star, Top Campaign Ambassador, and Sustained Excellence.

2021-2022 Community Action Fund Investments

UWSC’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce 2021-2022 Investments total $2.091 million.

These investments include 38 Partner Agency programs/services (facilitated by 23 different agencies), UWSC’s 3 Community Impact Initiatives (Community Partnership for Children, Providing Access To Healing, and the Volunteer Center), along with other services such as 2-1-1 Resource Center, 2021 Day of Caring Grants, support for Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging for the social sector, and a new Emergency Reserve Grant opportunity for nonprofits.

United Way Special Events

Thanks to all that participated in the 3rd annual PATH Mental Health Awareness Golf Day!

119 golfers came out in support of mental health - surpassing this year's goal!

Along with our event, hole, and in-kind sponsors - thank you for making this event such a success! Special shout out to Ed and the team out at Sunset Hills for another amazing fundraiser on their course.

Save the Date for 2022's golf outing on June 17th!

Join United Way Emerging Leaders at their first event on August 7th!

All ages and athletic abilities are invited to walk or run the 1 mile or 5k course through the Nourish Gardens.

This year, the day will kick off at the Sheboygan County Fair Grounds! We are excited to continue some of the new offerings from last year and bring back favorites from previous years.

Community Needs Snapshot Project

In order to address our community's toughest challenges, we must first understand the issues. United Way of Sheboygan County (UWSC) is committed to having a deep knowledge of our community's challenges and strengths which is why we compiled existing data sets, creating the Community Needs Snapshot Project (CNSP) to provide an understanding of the conditions facing Sheboygan County community members. The project is intended to assist funders, the social sector, and government entities in making data-driven decisions that align with documented community needs.

Campaign Ambassador Announcements

The next Campaign Ambassador meeting will be held on August 24th via Zoom.
