• The cocktail can be either alcoholic or not,
• needs to be made with common ingredients found at any bar,

Moving The Needle: Advancing Investment in Life Sciences

Meeting in DC, May 7, 2025

On May 7th 2025, BritishAmerican Business, in partnership with the British Embassy in Washington, D.C., brought together senior leaders from government, industry, and research to explore how the U.S. and UK can deepen collaboration in the transatlantic life sciences space. The meeting, titled Moving the Needle: Advancing Investment in Life Sciences, focused on investment benchmarks, regulatory alignment, and long-term competitiveness.

It outlined nine short- to long-term recommendations for collaboration.

The loss of another piece of our royal history might feel like cause for sadness – a sign that, in this new order, perhaps it no longer matters how things are done; all that matters is how much they cost. But flick through photographs of the royal train – which, as announced on June 30, will follow the path of the Royal Yacht Britannia and be decommissioned in 2027 – and the decision to shunt it into the sidings starts to seem entirely sensible. What is jet lag?

Mastering jet lag starts with understanding something called the circadian rhythm.

The circadian rhythm follows a 24-hour cycle that regulates our sleep and wake times,” says Shelby Harris, Psy.D., a licensed clinical psychologist and professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City who specializes in behavioral sleep medicine.

Circadian rhythms are part of the body’s internal clock. They mostly take cues from cycles of daytime and nighttime. Circadian rhythms guide important processes in the body, including alertness, appetite, body temperature and sleepiness. Traveling through time zones can throw these cycles off.
