Third Thursday Birthday Party
The second Third Thursday Family Fun Night is July 15, 5-8 pm. This year, the Zoo is celebrating 100 years in the River Park neighborhood on Third Thursdays.

The Zoo will have music, party hats, stickers, chalk for the plaza, and animal sprinklers on July 15.

As well, there are some unique activities for July 15. The 100th person will receive free admission. Kona Ice will be selling flavored ices at the Zoo. Local author Kassidy VanGundy will be reading from her book, Cursed Fate, and doing signings. Beacon Healthcare will be doing a giveaway, as well.

Third Thursdays are regular Zoo admission: $11 for adults ages 15-61, $9 for children ages 2-14 and seniors 62+. Babies 2 and under are free. Zoo Members are free.

Sensory Inclusion at the Zoo
The Zoo is partnering with KultureCity to make the Potawatomi Zoo sensory inclusive for individuals with sensory processing disorders.

Visitors with sensory sensitivities or challenges with sensory regulation can download the free KultureCity App for Apple or Android phones to view what sensory features are available at the Zoo and how to access them. It also provides a preview of what to expect at the Zoo like places that are noisy, who to ask for assistance, and where to find food or restrooms.

Sensory bags are also available to check out free of charge (by leaving an ID) from the Attraction Tickets booth. They contain special KultureCity VIP badges, fidget tools, noise-canceling headphones, and other resources.

Member Appreciation

We're so glad you're a member of the Potawatomi Zoological Society!

Zoo Member Appreciation Week is July 18 -25. To show our thanks to all our members this year, Zoo Members can buy discounted train and carousel tickets for $2, a $3 hot dog meal that includes a hot dog, chips, small fountain drink and cookie, and get 15% off in the gift shop.

Attraction tickets and hot dog meals can be purchased at the membership desk at check-in.

Brew At The Zoo

Brew at the Zoo returns on Saturday, September 25. The Zoo will be closed to the public for this event.

Brew at the Zoo is a long-time Zoo tradition for adult visitors to visit the Zoo, sample local brews, eat food, listen to music, check out animal enrichment, and have a very different Zoo experience!

Tickets go on sale August 10. Zoo Members can sign in for a pre-sale starting August 3.

2022 Calendar Photo Contest
It’s time for the annual Zoo Calendar Photo Contest! Photos can be submitted to the Zoo starting on July 21. Visit the website for full details, rules, and categories.
