Please note! The Zoo will close at 6 pm on July 4 for the wellbeing of our animals. We’ll resume regular hours on July 5.

Zoo Member Morning

The Zoo will open at 9 am just for Zoo Members on July 5. Just present an active Zoo Membership and photo ID for all named Zoo Members visiting the Zoo.

Zoo Member mornings are the first Saturday of each month from June through September.

Zoo Photo Contest

The annual Zoo Photo Contest starts on July 7. Submit your best horizontal-orientation photos of the Zoo that fit our categories (see website for the full list of categories) through August 6. The best photos will be posted on social media for public vote, and the top vote-getters will go to a panel of judges to determine the grand prize winner.

Category winners will be featured in the Zoo’s annual Conservation Calendar, which is sent to Zoo Members in December/January.

Zoo Camp For Adults

The Zoo isn’t just for kids! Adults can attend a day of Zoo Camp on July 13 and August 17 (9 am to 3 pm). Enjoy a fun day of crafts, animal encounters, games, and behind-the-scenes experiences that will help you deepen your understanding of how zoos work and what their place is in species conservation.

Curious Conservationists Adult Day Camp is for adults 18 and up. It’s $75 (includes lunch), and Zoo Members receive a 10% discount.

Join us in The Lodge for zoo trivia to benefit Andean bear conservation on July 23 from 7:00-9:00 pm. Tickets are $15 per person. Seating can accommodate teams of 2-8 people. Topics will include Andean bears, bears, the Andes mountains, and general trivia. Winners will receive an Andean bear-related prize!
