Governor Kemp has signed a bill requiring Narcan in all government buildings. NARCAN has been placed within each AED box and employees who oversee any AED unit within CCG have been notified to take an online pre-test and post-test. Both tests (as well as two training videos and PowerPoint presentations) can be found in the link below. Please familiarize yourself with the NARCAN Quick Start Guide. You can also visit the link to learn more about opioid addiction, recovery, crisis resources, and other assistance in the link below.

Get Help & Support

If you’re in emotional distress or suicidal crisis, find help in your area.

If it’s an emergency, call 911. You can also go to your nearest emergency room. A medical professional can give information about your particular circumstances.

If you believe that someone else is in danger of suicide and you have their contact information, contact your local law enforcement for immediate help. You can also encourage the person to contact the suicide prevention hotline at 988 (call or text).

When you’re in crisis, research suggests that it may be helpful to reach out to others. When you connect with others, it can help you feel supported and give you a sense of belonging.

Workplace Safety

Keep your work area and Emergency Exits clear. Remove any clutter blocking emergency exits, equipment shutoffs, or anywhere else that could pose a safety hazard.  A cluttered work area can lead to not having enough space to use tools and pick up heavy objects properly. If an exit is obstructed, you may not be able to escape quickly if an emergency occurs.
