Updates on Martin Slough Shore Access - Denied!

Some recent reports of dinghies still going to shore to relieve their pets got us to thinking that maybe the owners of Martin Island may have had a change of heart after inheriting it from their parents. The answer was an absolute no!

Please, it is Trespassing to go ashore on private property no matter how much you feel it isn't hurting anyone. If you are caught, they have every right to have you prosecuted for Trespassing. We have all known this rule existed for a long time. We also have signage on the dock that says this exact thing. Let's all be good boaters and follow the rules, so we don't have any issues with the island owners in the future.

Thank You for understanding it is our responsibility, and not our right to go ashore.

BoatUS always has informative articles about boating best practices, safety as well as our environment. CRYA is proud to put these links into our Newsletter so that you too can learn more about our boating world. The latest articles are listed here.

Content in your Club's Newsletters that all Boaters should read?

We can't see every club's internal communication, but we have to think some of the articles would be great information for all boaters. If you find that article of interest, please forward it to cryanews@gmail.com after getting approval to share. We can all be more informed.
