THANK YOU FROM THE CLINTONVILLE AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY
|
|
Our local historical society would like to thank everyone for participating in our June Farmers Market booths on June 23 & June 30. Special thanks to Glendale Farms for donating the strawberries for our Strawberry Shortcake sales.
While we enjoyed participating in this worthwhile Chamber event, it is with deep regret that we will not be able to continue for the remaining schedule due to several unforeseen circumstances at this time. However, we do look forward to serving the public during the annual Fall Frenzy on Sept. 17th with our Walking Tacos.
We encourage citizen groups to be a part of both events.

Fox Communities Credit Union to Match Fox Cares Foundation Donations
Credit union to match up to $25,000 through mid-August
Guided by Fox Communities Credit Union and created to help members contribute with confidence, the Fox Cares Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to address the areas of fighting hunger, ending homelessness, and providing access to the arts throughout the credit union’s communities.
“For most of us, it’s our expectation that we’ll have food in our cupboards and a warm place to call home, but for some, it is not as simple,” said Bruce Kotarek, President of the Fox Cares Foundation. “Through the donations from credit union members, employees, and the community, the Fox Cares Foundation can reinvest in the communities we serve through grants to local nonprofits who fit our mission.”
In 2021 the foundation raised more than $29,000 in its first fund-matching campaign and has distributed more than $216,000 in grants since 2016. Area nonprofit organizations including Feeding America, Leaven, House of Hope, Cup O Joy, and more have benefited from Fox Cares Foundation.
“While homelessness and hunger are basic needs, the foundation also supports the arts,” said John Wanie, Vice President of Fox Cares Foundation. “Whether it is enjoying an art display, painting, music, or a play, art brings beauty to the community at large.”
Those interested in donating to the foundation’s matching campaign (through August 14) can visit foxcares.org. Nonprofit organizations seeking grants to support work aligned with the foundation’s pillars of fighting homelessness, ending hunger, and supporting the arts can begin the application process by emailing foxcares@foxcu.org.
