July 2025 Chamber Newsletter

Hello-

Happy Summer it is finally here!

Thank you to everyone who supported us in the Germantown Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing presented by Premier Flooring. We cannot have a fun outing like this without our golfers, sponsors, volunteers and a great host in Kettle Hills Golf Course! Click here to see the fun video on our day.

On that note, did you know we have a YouTube Channel? You can now find the weekly event videos and anything else random that is shared with us or that Ben thinks up! Be sure to follow us there and through Facebook and Instagram as well.

July isn't showing any signs of slowing down as we are showcasing our first ever Ribbon Cutting Extravaganza which is honoring business and non-profits with a ribbon cutting and for our July WIN at Relish Germantown, we are opening it up to young professionals High School age to early 20s to give them an opportunity to see and learn about networking in a very welcoming environment. I might add it is also a perfect opportunity for those not-as-young Chamber member professionals to check out our networking group that includes the Hartford & West Bend Chamber members. Don't forget our Business after Hours with The Chamber of Greater Menomonee Falls & Sussex at the end of the month too! Plenty of networking fun to be had.

There is so much going on in the Germantown area this summer and MANY opportunities to volunteer and be a part of the fun, see the volunteering section. If you are looking to learn more about our community and businesses with a dose of leadership training, the Leadership Germantown Class of 2026 is now open for registration.

Everything mentioned above has more information in the newsletter and if you have any questions on anything going on through the Chamber or community, do not hesitate to ask! We look forward to seeing you soon and have a safe and fun Independence Day!

Logging On: Artificial Intelligence Tool Now Accessible to All at MATC

College first in state to make AI available to every student, faculty and staff member

Milwaukee Area Technical College is on the sharpest cutting edge of artificial intelligence technology. MATC is the first college in Wisconsin, and one of the few in the Midwest, to make AI accessible to all students, faculty and staff.

Simply by logging on to their MATC Google account, everyone at the college can access Google’s Gemini app and NotebookLM, two key AI tools. Critically important, both are FERPA compliant, said Donald Kasprzak, the college’s director of information security.

“I truly believe this initiative will position our college in a way that will surprise our community partners, our stakeholders and our students,” Kasprzak said. “No other college in Wisconsin is currently deploying an AI service to every employee and student, regardless of their class enrollment. Read more...
