Kits 4 Kidz Community-Wide School Supply Drive Kicks Off
Hosted by Interfaith Young Professionals

Interfaith kicked off Kits 4 Kidz school supply drive!  Supplies being collected include markers, crayons, scissors, glue, pencils, pens, map pencils, copy paper, notebook paper, binders, pocket folders, pencil boxes/bags and backpacks. A monetary donation of $65 also allows a child to thrive with a school supply set along with a brand new backpack.

Interfaith Young Professionals hosted the kick off for Interfaith's annual Kits 4 Kidz school supplies drive in preparation for the more than 3,000 students in need that will be served this back-to-school season.

School supplies and monetary donations will be accepted at Interfaith and many local businesses until July 26.

Happy Birthday to our Founding Executive Director

IIn 1974, Interfaith's first program was created when Reverend Don Gebert visited and interviewed families living in The Woodlands. Today, over 55,000 directories are distributed to area residents each August. Rev. Gebert turned 89 in June, and Interfaith is proud to have been pioneered by this great man. We thank Rev. Gebert for building the foundation that we now call Interfaith!

Cookout at Tangle Brush Villa
Residents of Tangle Brush Villa had a great time at our cookout in June. While some of us at Interfaith grilled the hot dogs and burgers, the residents provided dishes of their own, including dirty rice, barbecue baked beans, and cornbread. There's nothing better than good friends and good food!

Each month Interfaith's Food Pantry feeds nearly 1,500 individuals. In addition to serving the families that visit Interfaith every day, the Interfaith Food Pantry also serves home bound Seniors. Volunteers help package and delivers groceries to 185 Seniors in the senior complexes once a month.
