Fund Spotlight!
Boys and Girls Club Endowment Fund
The Boys & Girls Clubs Endowment Fund was created to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Danville Area.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Danville Area has two locations, one in Danville, VA and one in Chatham, VA. Both locations work to help youth develop the attitudes, skill values and behaviors that enable them to succeed in life. The Clubs focus on three main impact areas: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles and Character and Leadership. Their anchor program is Power Hour, an hour set aside each day for new members to finish their homework, study or read. This not only enhances their grades at school, but gives them a sense of satisfaction and achievement as well.
Donations can be made to this fund at any time and they can be made in honor or in memory of a loved one.
The Community Foundation of the Dan River Region just launched a new giving group called The Legacy Society.
The Legacy Society is a way for The Community Foundation to honor those who have made a lasting commitment to the Dan River Region. Individuals who designate a gift to CFDRR through a will, trust, retirement plan beneficiary or other planned gift are invited to join our Legacy Society.
We are so thankful to everyone who attend our 1st Legacy Society Reception. Our work would not be possible without you.
