ABOUT THE CYBERSECURITY ACCELERATION PROGRAM:
Designed for manufacturers, the Cybersecurity Acceleration Program aims to reduce their cybersecurity implementation learning curve and align their product development with industry direction on interoperability and best practices.
The program includes reference implementation and source code components including:
- Certificate Authority (CA) server
- Certificate Signing Request (CSR) generation and validation tool
- Machine readable, interoperable certificate file format

BRITE provides a confidential, supplier-independent environment for remote interoperability testing of BACnet devices. The focus of BRITE is BACnet/SC product interoperability testing, and it utilizes BACnet/SC to achieve secure connections over the Internet. This allows cooperating suppliers to evaluate the interoperability of their BACnet devices without physical co-location.
BRITE is built around a collection of cloud based BACnet/SC hubs along with interoperability support and diagnostic tools. Test sessions typically involve two suppliers and are arranged through BACnet International. Each session is private, only allowing access to the specific suppliers participating in that test session. BACnet/SC Interoperability Acceleration program participants are eligible for discounts and access to dedicated cloud hubs.

The BACnet Testing Laboratories (BTL) invites all manufacturers of BACnet products to attend the Annual PlugFest Interoperability Workshop at The University of New Hampshire's InterOperability Lab in Durham, NH.
This interoperability event permits vendors to test their BACnet products with BACnet devices from other vendors in a neutral and friendly environment, improving their BACnet implementation and testing methods.
PlugFest will run from Tuesday, October 3rd - Thursday, October 5th.
The BACnet Testing Laboratories Working Group (BTL WG) will be meeting on Monday, October 2nd prior to the start of PlugFest. If you are interested in joining the BTL WG Meeting, please RSVP HERE (separate registration than PlugFest).

Every month, BACnet International will highlight a resource from The BACnet Institute (TBI) Resource Library!
This month's featured TBI resource is the BACnet Basics. BACnet Basics is a self-paced, interactive introduction to BACnet. While designed for facility managers, it is still relevant to anyone new to the BACnet community. The course has six lessons followed by a mastery test. The typical time to complete this course is two hours. A Certificate of Completion is awarded after passing a mastery test provided at end of course. Learning objectives include:
- Why Should I recommend using BACnet?
- What levels of system integration are possible with BACnet?
- What are the network types supported by BACnet?
- What are the available functions with BACnet systems?
- How can I correctly describe the product capabilities of BACnet?
- If I decide to use BACnet, how will I ensure products are conformant to the BACnet specification?

The BACnet Institute (TBI) is an online portal for BACnet-focused learning and knowledge sharing. It provides an easy path to BACnet information and learning for everyone involved with BACnet systems. The portal includes three on-demand FREE courses and over 160 resources including white papers, articles, presentations and a community forum. TBI Resources are free, but registration for an account is required. Courses are eligible for CEUs and PDHs.
Each year TBI continues to grow. Since its launch in January 2017, over 6,000 registered users across more than 80 countries have accessed its resources. TBI’s simple search function allows users to get quick access to anything they need.
