The BACnet Institute (TBI) h
as just added a new course,
BACnet Device Profiles
.
This course explains the various BACnet device profiles and how they can be effectively used to ensure the successful specification of BACnet in a Building Automation System implementation.
As with all courses on TBI, FREE Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded upon completion of the course.

BACnet/SC Interoperability Acceleration Program
Release of Configurable Tools to Assist Testing
There have been several exciting developments coming out of BACnet International's
BACnet Secure Connect Interoperability Acceleration Program in recent weeks.
- The second webinar, which provided information on SC routers, was presented and recorded. Recordings of the first and second webinars are available to participants of the program.
- The final reference implementation was released.
- The availability of seven configurable tools to assist in system testing and QA automation was announced.
The reference implementation and set of tools can
shorten the BACnet/SC learning curve and dramatically reduce time spent on test system configuration and operation -
something any BACnet developer would want in their lab.
And that's not all! Interoperability testing services are scheduled to begin on September 30th.
Non-program participants will have to wait at least a year to see an open source version of the reference implementation.
If you are working on implementing BACnet Secure Connect,
it's not too late to join the program.
