FREE Youth Community Carnival at the Jacobs Center
On Saturday, July 24 you're invited to the San Diego Youth Carnival hosted by San Diego Community Assist in partnership with community activist Kathleen Harmon.

Stop by between noon and 5 p.m. to check out the live music, carnival games, food trucks, local vendors and more!

Admission is FREE for all ages.

New Location for Tuesday Food Distribution
The Jacobs Center is no longer the pickup site for the Tuesday food distributions hosted by community-based organizations I Am My Brother’s Keeper and Paving Great Futures. The distributions will continue every Tuesday from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. at 6601 Imperial Ave San Diego, CA 92114.

The Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation board and staff invites you to take a look at our first-ever Stewardship Report.

Learn about how the Jacobs Center made progress during a difficult year by stepping up for our community – serving basic human needs, building economic opportunity through jobs and resources and moving forward with real estate projects to enhance the community.

In partnership with San Diego County, you can get your FREE COVID-19 Pfizer vaccine at the Jacobs Center! Appointments and limited walk-ins are available to ages 12 and up from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Book your appointment online or call 211 to make an appointment over the phone.
Communities Fighting COVID Testing
Find a FREE COVID-19 testing location near you through Communities Fighting COVID. All sites offer rapid testing (results in 30 minutes) for adults and children ages 6 and above (minors need parent/guardian consent).

Have you heard about the IRS “Non-Filer Sign-up Tool”? The IRS has created an online interactive and easy-to-use tool to help low-income families who don’t normally file tax returns, register for the monthly Advance Child Tax Credit payments, which will begin July 15.

Teen Nite at Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center
Looking for fun summer activities for your teen? The Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center is hosting a free program for teenagers between the ages of 12 and 17 every Friday in July and August from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There will be various activities, including field trips, arts and crafts, game trucks, and food is included!
