Parent-Child Home Program (PCHP) Gets a New Look
Parent-Child Home Program, or PCHP, has undergone a national rebranding and is now known as
"ParentChild+." The motivation behind the rebrand came from market research, conducted by the ParentChild+ National Center, showing that people did not connect with the previous name, acronym, and logo.
Though the name and logo will now be different on all our marketing materials, the program itself will not change. ParentChild+ staff, called Early Literacy Specialists, meet with families regularly to provide free educational toys and books and show families how to use them in ways that help their children prepare for school.
For more information about the concept behind the new name and logo,
read our blog post. For more information about ParentChild+ at Encompass, click below!

Blog Post: Summer Activities to Improve Motor Skills in Children
Summer is officially here, and it’s a great opportunity to spend time playing with your children in ways that help their development.
Encompass Occupational Therapist Kim Hall wrote a blog post listing of some of her favorite summer activities parents can do at home to help strengthen motor skills, like hand-eye coordination and balance. The best part is that most of them make use of items you probably already have around your house!
