Helping You Live Long and Stay Strong

An older woman wearing a yellow raincoat smiles warmly as she hands a plastic grocery bag to another older woman standing in a doorway. The woman receiving the bag is smiling and appears to be expressing gratitude. A floral wreath hangs on the door, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

We all hope to live a long and healthy life—to see our kids grow older, to welcome and be involved with our grandchildren, to enjoy life and to give back to our community.

But aging successfully takes planning. Research shows that at some point on the aging journey, two-thirds of older adults will need some support to age well at home.

Did you know your Area Agency on Aging is your go-to source for aging services and caregiver support? Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA) is the Region 6 Area Agency on Aging serving Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties. TCOA is one of 16 AAAs in Michigan, and one of 622 nationwide. TCOA connects older adults and their families with services that promote health, safety and independence—from nutrition to in-home care and caregiver support programs. Whether you’re planning for the future or need help today, TCOA is here to help you live long and stay strong! Call us at 517-887-1440 or visit tcoa.org to learn more.

37th Annual Meals on Wheels Charity Golf Outing

Four people stand together on a sunny golf course, smiling at the camera. Three women and one man are dressed in golf attire, holding golf clubs. A green golf cart is parked to the left, and golf balls are visible on the neatly mowed grass. Behind them, trees and a clear blue sky complete the background.

Volunteer Spotlight

Three smiling adults stand and sit behind a registration table covered with a white Tri-County Office on Aging tablecloth. The table holds pastries, pens, papers, and water bottles. Behind them, golf carts and participants prepare for a golf event on a sunny day.

The Volunteer Spotlight for July is... the 37th Annual Meals on Wheels Golf Outing Volunteers!

These incredible individuals brought their smiling faces - bright and early - to the Forest Akers West Golf Course, prepared to welcome golfers, check golfers in, direct golfers to their golf carts, sell games, and more.

We could not have asked for a better team!

On top of that, volunteers driving around the course were able to take an impressive array of candid and fun photographs of the golfers. These photos were shared on TCOA's Facebook Page. Check them out, and give these multi-talented volunteers the round of applause they deserve!

To all TCOA event volunteers - you are AMAZING and TCOA could not do this work without you!

For more information about volunteering please contact us at volunteer@tcoa.org or apply at tcoa.org/volunteer.
