Ohio safety councils provide communities with programs addressing occupational safety and health, workers' compensation, and risk management education and information.

Safety Council Rebate Program
BWC offers employers who actively participate in a safety council program the opportunity for a 2 to 4 percent rebate on their workers’ compensation premium. Employers not in a group-rating program who meet all program eligibility requirements also can earn a 2-percent participation rebate for meeting all the rebate eligibility requirements and a 2-percent performance bonus for reducing either frequency or severity by 10 percent or with maintenance at zero.

  • Group-retrospective-rating
  •    program employers who meet rebate eligibility requirements can earn a 2-percent participation rebate only.
The rebate offer excludes self-insuring employers and state agencies. Restrictions apply to employers in a professional employer organization.
To qualify for the fiscal year 2020 rebate, you must enroll in a local safety council by July 31, 2019.    Please submit the enrollment form at least one day in advance of the deadline.     Return the completed form to the chamber office or .

2019 Chamber Challenge Thank You
The Chamber would like to extend a hearty thank you to everyone who made the 2019 Chamber Challenge Golf Outing a success!  As you know it is extremely difficult to reschedule events, so we appreciate that everyone was willing to participate despite the forecast.   We would also like to thank Mohawk Golf Club for their advice and support and Ironwood Steakhouse for their great food and service!

The Chamber is seeking nominations of educators who have exemplified vision, leadership, and commitment to the improvement of education in our community. Outstanding Educator Award nominations may be made  online   or  printed
The deadline for nominations is July   15, 2019.   The award will be presented at the Educators Appreciation Breakfast in August.
Students should nominate a teacher that has inspired them to be the best they can be. Parents should nominate teachers that have challenged and helped their son or daughter to achieve what they thought was impossible. Teachers may nominate a co-worker who goes above & beyond for their students.

The Community Calendar on the Chamber's website has camps, classes and smaller events that are just as fun!
