Chef Michael's Personal Chef Service hosts virtual class for Future In Sight
Mike Weinberger, owner of Chef Michael’s Personal Chef Service , shifted from his normal operations and provided a virtual cooking class through Zoom in late June where he instructed blind or visually impaired folks from Future In Sight.
Future in Sight is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to transforming the lives of those who are blind, visually impaired, and their families.

Service Credit Union launches Impact Foundation
The Service Credit Union Impact Foundation serves to fund efforts beyond what Service Credit Union supports, partnering with providers who support education, human services, and emergency care for veterans and military. Focus areas include shelter and supportive housing, providing essential resources such as clothing and furniture, and providing both financial and emergency assistance for veterans, such as suicide risk intervention and prevention.

Seacoast Dermatology adds Dr. Ali to its medical team

Seacoast Dermatology PLLC is pleased to announce the addition of  Hagger Ali, MD, MS, MPH to the growing medical dermatology practice. Dr. Ali is currently accepting new patients of all ages. Dr. Ali comments: “Having studied at Tufts University, I came to love New England and its many smaller communities. Wentworth-Douglass Hospital achieves 2020 Outstanding Patient Experience Award
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital announced in June that it achieved the  Healthgrades 2020 Outstanding Patient Experience Award ™. This distinction recognizes Wentworth-Douglass Hospital as being among the top 5 percent of hospitals nationwide for patient experience, according to Healthgrades. This is the seventh year in a row that Wentworth-Douglass has earned this distinction.

Bedrock Gardens' John Forti honored by National Garden Clubs

John Forti, an award-winning garden historian, ethnobotanist, garden writer and local foods advocate, is the recipient of a national 2020 Award of Excellence from National Garden Clubs, one of the nation’s most-recognized nonprofits and largest volunteer gardening organization in the world.
Nominated by the New Hampshire Federation of Garden Clubs, Forti is executive director of Bedrock Gardens , a leading regional resource for horticultural education and agritourism in Lee. 

New Hampshire Federal Credit Union raises over $8k for Meals-on-Wheels
New Hampshire Federal Credit Union’s Community Challenge to raise dollars for continued Meals-on-Wheels services to seniors in Merrimack, Belknap and Strafford counties resulted in over $8,000 in donations in a two-week period.  NHFCU “doubled down” to feed the need by matching community contributions.

Holy Rosary Credit Union awards 2020 Annual Scholarships
On July 7th, Dana Flanders, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Brian Hughes, President and CEO at HRCU were pleased to award eight local high school graduates with college scholarships. A total of 231 scholarships totaling over $233,000 have been awarded to local students since 1996.

Eversource encourages you to evaluate energy supply options
As part of its efforts to support customers facing financial hardship and other challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, Eversource is encouraging customers to closely manage their energy supply options so that they do not overpay an alternative supplier. In 2019, Eversource residential customers in NH who chose competitive suppliers paid on average $1.3 million more per month than the standard service for their electric generation.
