Day Trip to Starved Rock: Dean Martin at Starved Rock

Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime…and you’ll love this Tribute to the Stars performance at Starved Rock Lodge. Capturing the spirit of Dean Martin, Peter Oprisko brings the King of Cool back to life, with his renditions of Dino’s signature songs, style, and sense of humor. Sway to Blue Moon, Baby It’s Cold Outside, and Ain’t That a Kick in the Head. Spend the afternoon with us For the Good Times. The trip includes transportation, show, and a lunch buffet.
Athletics
SOCCER MADE IN AMERICA CAMP
Soccer Made In America will provide professional training covering technical and tactical training for 5 consecutive days, 3 hours per day. Players are divided into groups of ten or less according to ability first and age second. Beginning players will be introduced to fundamental techniques and apply them in games. 

Intermediate players who have mastered basic techniques will be challenged to higher-level competition. Participants must bring their own soccer ball. Shin guards and a water bottle are recommended. Each participant receives a camp t-shirt, certificate of achievement, contest participation, and awards given to winners on "Awards Day" Friday. This camp is a co-op program with the Warrenville Park District. It will meet at the following address: Harding Soccer Field located at the intersection of Warrenville Road and Mignin Drive. 
SUMMER LACROSSE CAMP
Our fun and fast-paced camp is perfect for players of any skill or experience level. This camp is open to 1st-8th graders, which will then be separated by age. Players will be taught the foundational skills of lacrosse and then will work to become confident in their abilities. Participant eligibility is based on their grade entering the 2022/2023 school year. Location: Grace Church of DuPage – 27W344 Galusha Avenue, Warrenville. WHEATON SPORTS CENTER YOUTH TENNIS LESSONS
The Winfield Park District will offer youth tennis lessons through Wheaton Sports Center this summer. Classes are offered for ages 5-10 years old. A Wheaton Sports Center instructor will teach all classes. All WSC staff are CPR certified, trained, and tested by the Professional Tennis Registry. All Youth classes are geared towards developing eye-hand coordination and the development of the proper technique for the essential strokes as they begin to track and judge the bounce of the ball. 

Beginners are welcome—no prior experience is necessary.
Classes meet at Oakwood Park in Winfield (0N555 Winfield Road, Winfield, IL 60190). Sign up early! Space is limited.

ADULT GOLF LESSONS
The Winfield Park District is now offering golf lessons through St. Andrews Golf Course and Country Club. This 4-week class will teach the basics of putting, chipping, full swing irons, and full swing woods. Each different aspect of the game will be emphasized with each new class session. This particular adult class is open to ages 16 and older. The class will meet at St. Andrews Golf Course, 2241 Route 59, West Chicago, IL. In the event of rain, an additional rain date will be added on. Please call Mike at 630-653-3811 X116 if you have any questions.
