Hello Ladies of the Daughters of Erin,

We're are heading into two busy months for the DOE. Please plan to volunteer - invite friends, relatives or co-workers who'd be willing to enjoy the Dublin Irish Festival and help the Daughters of Erin for a few hours.

The annual Irish Heritage Night with the Columbus Clippers is Friday, July 15, see details below. Tickets can be purchased in advance, see below.

We are collecting school supplies for the September meeting. Supplies will be donated to needy schools.

Member Mary Della "Dell" Koch (mother of member Julie Clemons and mother-n-law to Peggy Fahy Koch) is celebrating her 90th birthday on July 22. The family is hoping for Dell to receive 90 cards. Mail to Dell Koch, 853 Lakeshore Drive East, Hebron, OH 43025.

DUBLIN IRISH FESTIVAL TEA ROOM

Help the Daughters of Erin welcome visitors to the annual Irish Tea Room at the Dublin Irish Festival, Friday Aug. 5 to Sunday, Aug. 7. We will need volunteers to sell our delicious baked goods, homemade hot and iced tea and more. Plan to stop by the Tea Room to support our event! We need to cover all three days, especially afternoon and evening hours. All volunteers receive a ticket to the festival, please help us find volunteers. Thank you.

DUBLIN IRISH FESTIVAL SCONE BAKING 2022 NEW
WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are excited to announce a new location, with more ovens, to bake scones this year! Save the date, 9 am-2 pm, Saturday, July 30 at St. Catherine Church, 500 S Gould Rd, Columbus, OH 43209. We need volunteers to mix, bake, package, etc.
Important information about how to enter the cafeteria.
St. Catherine School, 2865 Fair Ave., 43209. Please enter thru Monsignor David V. Sorahan Center and take the steps down, the cafeteria is on the left down the hall.

DUBLIN IRISH FESTIVAL TEA ROOM BAKED GOODS
We appreciate all who can donate to the baked goods at the Tea Room!

We will be selling soda bread, scones and other homemade baked goods at the Dublin Irish Festival Tea Room, Friday, Aug. 5 to Sunday, Aug. 7.

Suggestions, other than soda bread or brown bread, include cookies, brownies, fruit breads and shortbread. If you need to arrange pickup, let us know.
Please do not make anything with frosting, icing or things that melt in the heat. Be sure to include a written description of the items and any ingredients that may cause allergy concerns.

This is a great fundraiser for us, THANK YOU for your help.

DUBLIN IRISH FESTIVAL COMMUNITY PARADE

Calling all members of the Central Ohio Irish Community, join Daughters of Erin members and members of all Columbus Clann na nGael and Irish organizations in the annual Central Ohio Irish Community Procession Friday, Aug. 5 at the 2022 Dublin Irish Festival. Please arrive no later than 4:30 p.m. The festival opens at 4 p.m. Receive a FREE ticket at the EAST GATE, the parade steps off at approximately 4:45 pm. SEPTEMBER MEMBERSHIP MEETING

The September meeting is Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. at Trinity School, Saint Christopher Church. We are collecting school supplies for needy schools (to be named in Sept.). Watch for sales to purchase supplies!

We'll have updates on hospitality and more closer to the meeting date.

We accepting items for Saints Alive each meeting, if you hear of anyone giving away tarps, rope, bungee cords, body wipes, double AA and triple AAA batteries or clothing - or have alot of food left over at an event. Please keep our members and those on the prayer list in your thoughts and prayers. Please pray for Michal Moriarity, Suzy Lhamon, Chris McKenzie, Derek Kimmel, Kay Fallon, Paul Tisdale, Lois O'Reilly, Dan Costello, Jackie McVey and Ryan Graves and the family of Michael O'Keefe, Julie McGhee's brother and Janine Bourdo and Lilias Fierbaugh on the loss of their daughter/mother.

Please pray for peace around the world and continue to pray for all in Ukraine. We also pray for all those in the military, police and healthcare workers.

Kevin Cain of The Hooligans is planning a trip to Ireland, May 6-15, 2023.
