- Did you know Jason led worship and Phil led devotions at Greenville College's Panther Academy? This reached 280 kids!
- Did you know 239 kids and 82 volunteers attended VBS last year?

BOLEN'S ALLEY
I have good new bad news. The good news is that our building renovation is nearly complete. There are just a few minor things left to be done. I appreciate your patience. I also appreciate and am proud of your stewardship, which has made it possible. Way to go church! It looks really good.
Now for the bad news: recently our baptistery began losing a significant amount of water. Upon investigation it was determined the whole thing needs to be redone. Thus our baptistery is out of service for the next few weeks. We've already used the lake at Bond Camp and the pool at the Annex and will continue to make do. The projected cost estimate is $16,490. It's one of those have-to deals.
Park and Play was an incredible event! Lots of people, lots of people, lots of fun, lots of emersions. By this preacher's count, there were 387 dunks in the dunk tank - including several by yours truly. Seriously, a good time was had by all. Our next big summer event is VBS, which you will be hearing a lot about in the coming weeks.
Our Food for Orphans packing event will be here before you know it (September 19). Our goal is to fund 10 tables at $550 each. This means we need to collect approximately $350 per weekend. Of course, that will require more than just quarters, but we will be able to provide 22,000 meals to hungry children. Collection buckets are at the entrances. Also remember that all the loose change in the offering goes toward this effort.
Recently I came across a piece entitled "I'm Busier Than ...." Here are a few of the endings given. I'm busier than a one-eyed cat watching two mouse holes. I'm busier than a centipede at a toe counting contest. I'm busier than a one-tooth man at a corn on the cob eating contest. People are busy. You are busy. Still I urge you to make time to gather for worship. Truth is, we have time for what we deem important. Love you all.
A NOTE FROM THE
CHAIRMAN:
During Darryl's 40th anniversary celebration (in 2013), the church board unanimously approved an extended time away for the Bolen's. This much-deserved vacation will take place from July 11-August 4, 2015. Can you believe it took him 2 years to fit this in his schedule? We trust that they enjoy a time to travel and connect with family across the country. The ministry staff and church board will be available during this time to best fill in the roles and ministry Darryl typically tackles on a weekly basis. If needs arise, I ask that you directly notify the church office.

Usher & Greeter Teams
The Usher & Greeter teams exist to warmly greet and welcome everyone. It is one of our most visible and important ministries since greeters and ushers create a positive experience for our guests and members and can leave a lasting impression. It is one of the reasons our guests return and become a regular attendee.
The Usher and Greeter teams are a great role for new and long time members to become a part of. Come to an informational meeting on July 21 or 22 at 7 p.m. or contact phil@greenvillefcc.org to join!
